The first snow settles softly on Mount Tateshina,
its pale light reflected in the quiet waters of Lake Megami.
Around it, the last traces of autumn colors fade into the mist,
as the mountains exhale their warmth and welcome the calm breath of winter.

Lately I’ve been getting into roasting my own coffee beans at home. I’ve really been enjoying it—just sipping the fresh coffee on my deck and stargazing early in the morning.

November 23rd, Hiking Kurumayama

We were really lucky with the weather today. We started our hike from the Kurumayama ski-lift ticket center, and it took us about one hour to reach the peak.

The view was absolutely picturesque—a full 360-degree panorama of the Yatsugatake Mountains, the Central Alps, the Northern Alps, and even Mt. Fuji.
